De nuevo por las cercanías de Forcarey, realizo el descenso MTB desde la aldea de Loureiro, en Forcarey, pasando por el Castro Celta de Loureiro, para bajar hasta el río Lérez, con una Fuji Sundance SE completamente rígida. Equipaa con un grupo Shimano GRX de gravel, cubiertas lisas de conmuting (no fue la mejor idea del mundo), bajo por una corredoira que pasa justo junto al Castro.
El Castro de Loureiro es uno de los diez yacimientos castreños catalogados en el municipio de Forcarey. Se encuentra en un punto estratégico en el centro del municipio, lo que le proporciona una amplia visión sobre Forcarey y los pueblos de los alrededores, sugiriendo que pudo ser un importante punto de control de las rutas de la zona. Aunque no ha sido excavado, se considera uno de los yacimientos más interesantes de Forcarey, tanto por su tamaño como por su ubicación.

We continue with the winning combination of MTB cycling and drones! Once again in the vicinity of Forcarey, I descend on an MTB from the village of Loureiro, in Forcarey, passing by the Celtic Castro of Loureiro, to go down to the Lérez river, on a fully rigid Fuji Sundance SE. Equipped with a Shimano GRX gravel groupset and smooth commuting tyres (not the best idea in the world), I descend via a track that passes right next to the Castro.
The Castro of Loureiro is one of the ten catalogued castro sites in the municipality of Forcarey. It is located at a strategic point in the centre of the municipality, which provides it with a wide view over Forcarey and the surrounding villages, suggesting that it could have been an important control point for the routes in the area. Although it has not been excavated, it is considered one of the most interesting sites in Forcarey, both for its size and its location.
